That Council confirm that agenda, as circulated.

THAT Council meet in Closed Session in accordance with section 239 of the Municipal Act S.O. 2001 regarding:  personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees (s. 239 (2) (b)). Recorded vote requested by Mayor Lucas Cleveland NO (2): Mayor Lucas Cleveland, Brian Darling YES (5): Councillor Adam Bureau, Councillor Aaron Burchat, Councillor Miriam Mutton, Councillor Randy Barber, Deputy Mayor Nicole Beatty

Discussion on Mayor's Statement dated June 26, 2025 which includes the following response from Council: Today Cobourg Council met to discuss a matter in Closed Session pursuant to Section 239 (2) (b) of the Municipal Act, 2001, and as a result of the Closed Session, Council discussed a statement issued by the Office of the Mayor on June 26th 2025, in which the Mayor did not participate. During the conversation, Council reaffirmed, its continued commitment to support a safe community within the Town of Cobourg, including supporting the Mayor and his initiatives, through decisions of Council. This includes continually working collaboratively with the Cobourg Police Service, other levels of government and community partners to work within their respective mandates and responsibilities. Council will continue to listen and work diligently to keep our community safe for everyone.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 037-2025 and to dispense with the reading of the By-law by the Municipal Clerk to confirm the proceedings of Council of the Town of Cobourg at its Special Council Meeting held on July 3, 2025 and the same be considered read and passed and that the Mayor and the Municipal Clerk sign the same and the Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
